Browser-based AR portals into the House of Eternal Return

For Meow Wolf, we created six WebAR portals across New Mexico that let people step directly into rooms from the House of Eternal Return using only their phone browser. We captured the exhibit with Scaniverse, turning the scans into lightweight Gaussian splats that preserved the dense, strange texture of the spaces while remaining performant enough for mobile WebAR.

The project moved from storyboards and early 8th Wall prototypes through 3D scanning and visual development with Shandiin Yazzie Woodward, ultimately combining the scanned spaces, custom portal artwork, audio, and a direct path to visit the physical exhibit.
